Job summary

Milliken and Company is seeking a Summer Intern - Manufacturing at the Enterprise Plant in Marietta, South Carolina. The intern will work on a significant process improvement project and report to a Senior Process Engineer or Process Improvement Manager.

The internship is hourly paid, runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, starts mid-May and ends the first week of August, with opportunities to present findings during a final review in Spartanburg, SC.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior at a university
• Working towards a BS degree
• GPA 3.0 minimum
• Able to participate in Summer Challenge Forum in June in Spartanburg, SC
• Able to participate in final presentation review in August in Spartanburg, SC
• Efficient in PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheets

Job Summary:

The Milliken Summer Intern position gives rising university juniors or seniors an opportunity to work on a significant process improvement project in a manufacturing environment. This position is located at the Enterprise Plant in Marietta, South Carolina. You will report directly to a manager – either a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Improvement Manager. The position is hourly paid. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The summer intern program begins in mid-May and ends the first week of August.
