Milliken and Company, Enterprise Plant in Marietta, South Carolina, invites rising juniors and seniors to join a Summer Intern - Manufacturing program. You will work on a significant process-improvement project, reporting to a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Improvement Manager.

The position is hourly, with work hours Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, starting mid-May and ending the first week of August. Participants gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, develop problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Rising junior or senior at a university.
  • Working towards a BS degree.
  • Able to participate in the Summer Challenge Forum in June in Spartanburg, SC.
  • Able to participate in our final presentation review in August in Spartanburg, SC.
  • Efficient in PowerPoint and excel spreadsheets.
  • GPA - 3.0 minimum.
  • Able to start work on or before May 20th.

Job Title: Summer Intern - Manufacturing

Job Summary:

The Milliken Summer Intern position gives rising university juniors or seniors an opportunity to work on a significant process improvement project in a manufacturing environment. This position is located at the Enterprise Plant in Marietta, South Carolina. You will report directly to a manager - either a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Improvement Manager. The position is hourly paid. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The summer intern program begins in mid-May and ends the first week of August.
