Job summary

BNSF Railway is seeking a Summer Intern for the Corporate Communications team in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time internship offers real-world assignments, mentorship, and exposure to internal and external communications, media relations, and employee engagement.

You will contribute to writing company news, supporting content for apps and social channels, and helping with events and research. Relocation is required if located beyond 50 miles; travel may be required; one day per week remote work is

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Communications or Journalism from an accredited university.
• Minimum GPA requirement of 2.75.
• Less than three years of professional work experience (excluding internships).

Responsibilities

• Write company news and feature articles for internal websites and channels.
• Support content development for employee mobile apps and social media outlets.
• Assist in monitoring website statistics and social media usage with analytics tools.
• Assist in graphic design for digital and print publications.
• Support special events, recognition programs, and research for company communications.
• Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, clear communication, adaptability and resilience.
