Job summary

BNSF Railway in Fort Worth, TX is offering a Summer Intern position in the Accounting Department requiring pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Accounting with a GPA of 2.75 or higher. The program provides hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A activities, with mentorship and potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Relocation is required if located far, and some remote work may be possible.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States and will be at least eighteen (18) years old upon hire.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Accounting with at least a 2.75 GPA.
• Have and will maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
• Have LESS THAN three (3) years of professional work experience, excluding internships.

Responsibilities

• Reporting and Reconciliation: internal and external reporting and account reconciliations.
• FP&A/Budgets: collaborate to provide financial insights for operating and corporate departments across the network.
• Expense Monitoring and Forecasting: develop models to track and predict expenses.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: analyze data to uncover trends and financial implications.
• Revenue Management Oversight: support end-to-end freight-related charges and payments.
