Job summary

Textron's Bell subsidiary in Fort Worth, TX offers a 2027 Summer Intern position for Industrial Engineering (Operations). You will work on real manufacturing projects, helping to improve quality, safety, and on-time delivery while learning from seasoned professionals.

Areas include capacity analysis, standards and routing, Lean methods, capital planning, data analytics, and project management. Strong Excel, Power BI, and SAP experience are preferred; a GPA and 60 credits are required.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher with a major in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology or Industrial & Systems Engineering required.
• Minimum 60 credit hours completed by the start of the internship (June 1, 2027) or prior Bell internship experience.
• Able to complete the entire 10 weeks of the internship: June 1 - August 6, 2027.
• 3.0 minimum overall, undergraduate GPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capacity and 4M Analysis (Man, Machine/Tool, Material, and Measure).
• Standards, Span, Order Policy, Work Structure, & Routing Maintenance including Time Studies.
• Workflow Optimization & Cost Out (5S, Lean, Kanban, Spaghetti Diagrams).
• Facility and Equipment Capital planning and layouts.
• Metric / Performance / Labor Analysis & Data Analytics.
• Visual Factory (Crew Loads / Pacer Charts).
• Business Case development
• Project Management
• Safety / Ergonomics
