Job summary

Austin Industries is offering a 2027 Summer People/HR Internship in Dallas, TX. This paid 12-week program provides exposure to recruiting, onboarding, compensation/benefits, HR analytics, employee relations, and HR operations, with supervision from a corporate headquarters team in Dallas.

Interns will gain experience across HR disciplines, complete a project, and participate in social and volunteer events with employee-owners, under an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources or related field; junior or senior strongly preferred.
• Some office experience is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel is required.
• Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week and commute onsite to Dallas, TX.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explore multiple HR disciplines including Recruiting, Employee Engagement, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, and HR Operations.
• Develop analytical and problem-solving skills by reviewing processes and workforce data and recommending improvements.
• Support day-to-day HR activities and collaborate with employees, managers, and business leaders.
• Complete a meaningful internship project applying classroom knowledge to a business challenge and deliver a tangible solution or process improvement.
• Participate in social and volunteer events with fellow employee-owners.
