Job summary

Advocate Health’s Summer Internship Program invites high school students aged 16+ to join for a seven-week, on-site experience. Interns will engage in structured learning, rotate through clinical, administrative, and operational areas, and participate in professional development events.

Currently enrolled in high school and aged 16+ before the start of the internship.
Demonstrated interest in exploring health care careers.
Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

The Intern participates in a structured, hands-on learning experience designed to introduce high school students to careers in healthcare and the day-to-day operations of a hospital or health system.
Students may rotate through or support a variety of departments, gaining exposure to clinical, administrative, operational, and support functions.
Under supervision, interns will participate in educational activities, observational experiences, and assigned projects while developing foundational workplace and professional skills.
