Advocate Health’s seven-week Summer Internship Program offers a robust experience to high school students aged 16+. We provide meaningful work aligned with interests, helping interns gain valuable experience while networking with peers and colleagues.

The program includes professional development and social events throughout the summer. The Intern participates in a structured, hands-on learning experience to introduce healthcare careers and the day-to-day operations of a hospital or health

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school and is aged 16+ years or older before the start of the internship.
• Must have a demonstrated interest in exploring health care careers.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in a structured, hands-on learning experience introducing high school students to healthcare careers.
• May rotate through or support a variety of departments, gaining exposure to clinical, administrative, operational and support functions.
• Under supervision, completes educational activities, observational experiences and projects while developing workplace and professional skills.
