Job summary

Advocate Health offers a 7-week Summer Internship Program for high school students aged 16+. This on-site role provides meaningful, hands-on experience across departments, including clinical, administrative, and operational areas, with professional development events throughout the summer.

The program runs 6/14/2027–7/30/2027, with up to 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday, under supervision of hospital team members. Interns gain foundational workplace skills in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school and aged 16+ before the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated interest in exploring health care careers.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured, hands-on learning experience across clinical, administrative, operational, and support functions.
• Rotate through or support a variety of departments to gain exposure to day-to-day hospital operations and professional development activities.
