Job summary

AIG invites you to join its Forensic Accounting summer internship in Chicago. You’ll work with experienced forensic accountants and claims professionals to analyze financial information, quantify losses, and support complex claim decisions during a hands-on 9-week program.

You'll gain insurance industry knowledge through masterclasses, leadership talks, and mentoring circles, with potential Analyst opportunities post-program. In-person, in-office engagement required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master’s degree; degree to be received no later than May 2028.
• Preferred majors include Accounting or Finance; foundational accounting knowledge.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Apply accounting principles to collect, interpret, and analyze data related to commercial insurance claims.
• Assist with evaluating and quantifying complex business losses and loss measurements.
• Analyze financial records and calculations to support claim evaluations.
• Collaborate with forensic accountants and claims professionals on analyses.
• Document analyses, findings and conclusions clearly.
• Develop knowledge of coverages like Property and Cyber in forensic assignments.
