Job summary

Siemens is seeking engineering students for the Digital Industries Automation Internship Program - Technical Consulting Track. This 12-week summer internship runs May 17, 2027 - August 6, 2027 at DI Automation hubs in Alpharetta GA, Elk Grove Village IL, Harleysville PA or Lebanon OH.

You will learn automation tech, create enablement materials, analyze data, and explore roles after graduation. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program, commit to 40 hours/week, and may relocate with

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• Available to work 40 hours per week May 17–Aug 6, 2027.
• Familiarity with industrial automation tech (PLCs, HMI/SCADA, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication for technical audiences.
• Interest in applying technical knowledge to customer challenges.
• Growth mindset and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Willing to relocate to DI Automation hubs for the summer.
• Willing to travel up to 20% with valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Learn Siemens DI Automation products and their end-to-end integration.
• Research customer needs and map technologies to opportunities.
• Analyze customer data to identify market expansion areas.
• Develop strategic discovery questions for sales and technical teams.
• Create technical marketing materials and engage customers through content.
• Design easy-to-understand educational content and guides.
