Job summary

BNY is offering the 2027 Summer Internship Program in Engineering (Developer) for high-potential undergraduates. The 10-week program provides hands-on projects, mentorship, and exposure to enterprise software, AI-driven tooling, and modern engineering practices.

Participants will engage in end-to-end development, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain real-world business impact within a leading global financial services institution. Strong coding skills and curiosity are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors (preferred).
• Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.
• Interest in software development and AI.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the end-to-end software development lifecycle by translating client and business needs into technical designs; build and enhance features, APIs, automation, developer tools, and platform capabilities; support testing, release, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Use enterprise-approved AI coding tools to accelerate development, testing, debugging, and documentation while validating outputs and protecting information.
• Apply modern engineering practices, including source control, code review, reusable frameworks, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product partners to solve problems and deliver secure, reliable solutions.
