Job summary

Honda in Marysville, OH is seeking an Engineering Co-op/Intern for Summer 2027. You will support vehicle manufacturing, automation tooling, quality testing, or facilities infrastructure with mentors.

You will design tooling and fixtures using CAD, assist with testing and data collection, and analyze defects to propose countermeasures. This is a full-time summer internship with mentorship and potential for full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Sophomore standing or above with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Available for full-time work (40 hours/week) for a minimum 10-week summer term.
• Foundational understanding of mechanical design, CAD, and manufacturing processes.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License, daily transportation, and legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support process engineering, automated tooling installation, and new model maturation on the production floor.
• Design tooling, fixtures, and end-of-arm robotic equipment using 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Assist with physical component testing, data collection, and test report generation.
• Perform root cause analysis on assembly line defects and recommend technical countermeasures.
• Prepare project presentations and present outcomes to engineering managers and peers.
