Job summary

Honda Motor Company is seeking engineering co-ops/interns for Summer 2027 across multiple departments. Roles include manufacturing, quality, facilities, tooling, and product engineering with project work and hands-on experiences.

Applicants must be U.S. work authorized, enrolled in a mechanical engineering program, and able to commit ~10 weeks at 40 hours/week. Honda offers housing options, mentoring, wellness access, and potential full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher and provide current transcript.
• Class status: Sophomore or above by credit hour.
• Availability to work at least 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.
• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered case-by-case).
• Ability to provide own transportation to and from work daily.

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing & Operations activities across Assembly, Weld, Paint, and Machining.
• Assist with project management, scheduling, and daily process tracking.
• Analyze manufacturing problems and support root cause investigations.
• Assist with vehicle/component testing, test procedures, and validation methods.
• Update 2D/3D CAD drawings for facilities and utilities.
• Assist with design of tooling, electrical hardware, PLCs, HMIs, and safety requirements.
• Support cross-functional design, testing, and supplier collaboration.
• Summarize findings in technical reports and presentations.
