Job summary

Energy Transfer in the United States is seeking motivated Engineering Interns for our summer program to gain hands-on experience with our energy portfolio, including natural gas pipelines and facilities across Texas.

Intern responsibilities include learning about air quality and regulatory compliance, reviewing federal, state and local environmental laws, and assisting operations and engineering teams with field visits in the West Texas region.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program with courses in chemical or mechanical engineering.
  • Must maintain at least an above-average GPA.
  • Self-motivated with involvement outside coursework.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with Energy Transfer assets in the energy portfolio and gain experience in air quality and regulatory compliance for gas pipelines and facilities.
  • Support process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flow measurements, and pipe/vessel sizing calculations.
  • Assist with equipment functions, maintenance requirements, and day-to-day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminal systems.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering staff during field visits in the West Texas region.
