Job summary

Energy Transfer in Dallas, TX is seeking an Engineering Intern for our summer program to gain hands-on experience with assets in our energy portfolio, including processing, gathering, and transmission of natural gas and liquids.

You will assist with process simulation, system modeling, gas measurements, pipe sizing, equipment functions, and day-to-day field operations of pipelines, storage, and terminals while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical.
  • Self-motivated with involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • Above average GPA.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize with assets in energy portfolio: processing, gathering, treating, transmission and export of natural gas/liquids.
  • Assist with process simulation and system modeling.
  • Support gas/ fluid flow measurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment functions, and maintenance.
  • Participate in day-to-day field operations of pipelines, storage, and terminal systems.

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Intern for our summer program to join our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The mainobjective for the intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio,gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.

Responsibilities will vary with location but may include process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flowmeasurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment functions, andmaintenance requirements, and the day to day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminalsystems.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical,Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at a minimum completion of sophomore level engineering courses.
  • General requirements include self-motivated individuals, involvement inactivities outside college studies.
  • Above average GPA
