Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal's Consumer & Retail Group offers Associate Summer Consultant internships for undergraduates and non-MBA master's students graduating between December 2027 and July 2028. The program focuses on growth strategy, transformation, and analytics, with hands-on client work and mentorship.

Over 10 weeks interns receive onboarding bootcamp, spend 8 weeks on real projects with CRG consultants, plus 1-on-1 coaching and networking events. Travel up to 50% is supported.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree or Non-MBA master’s degree from a top university.
• Internship experience in consumer/retail, consulting, or finance-focused corporate roles preferred.
• Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Strong analytical mindset and data fluency.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to distill complex insights.
• Creative thinker with a knack for building tools and solving problems.
• Commercially savvy with exposure to proposal development.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel up to 50% (Monday–Friday)

Responsibilities

• Work on real client projects alongside CRG consultants and engage with clients.
• Gain mentorship through CRG’s hands-on apprenticeship model and 1-on-1 coaching.
• Build tools and solve problems to develop practical consulting skills.
• Participate in curated events to network with CRG and A&M professionals.
