Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. in the Austin, TX area is seeking a motivated Construction Project Manager Intern for a 10-week Summer 2027 internship. You will support the project management team from inception to completion, assisting in planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities across multiple projects.

Location: Austin, TX area. Dates: May 31 – August 6, 2027. This hands-on internship exposes you to bidding, submittals, RFIs, change orders, financial tracking, vendor coordination, and on-site

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in CM/CS/ME.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with MS Office; exposure to project software is a plus.
• Able to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing & Learning: observe and participate in daily PM tasks.
• Business Acumen Development: learn estimates, bids, contracts, RFIs, and change orders.
• Site Visits & Collaboration: accompany superintendents on on-site operations.
• Project Coordination: review drawings and track project costs and materials.
• Hands-On Experience: grow PM and engineering skills through practical work.
• Summer Project: complete a capstone project and present to leadership.
• Construction Drawing Analysis: analyze drawings for clear field execution.
• Financial Forecasting Support: assist in budgeting and forecasting.
• Vendor Communication: liaise with vendors for submittals and procurement.
• Familiarization with documentation: learn submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Meetings Engagement: participate in VDC and project planning sessions.
