Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. invites students to join our Construction Project Manager Intern program for Summer 2027 in the Dallas, TX area.

The 10‑week internship runs May 31 through August 6, 2027, offering hands-on experience across planning, execution, and monitoring of large‑scale projects. As an intern, you will shadow experienced PMs, learn estimating, bidding, contracts, RFIs, and change orders, accompany superintendents on site visits, review drawings, and assist with budgeting and vendor

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Previous internship or experience in project management or related fields is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing & Learning: Observe and participate in daily tasks to support initiation, management, and completion of projects.
• Business Acumen Development: Learn estimating, bidding, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and financial reporting.
• Site Visits & Collaboration: Join superintendents on quality walks and meetings to understand on-site operations.
• Project Coordination: Review drawings, track costs, and identify conflicts between trades.
• Hands-On Experience: Grow PM and engineering skills through practical application.
• Summer Project: Complete a capstone project and present to leadership at summer end.
• Construction Drawing Analysis: Analyze drawings to create actionable field plans.
• Financial Forecasting Support: Review estimates and assist with budgeting.
• Vendor Communication: Liaise with TDI vendors for submittals and procurement.
• Documentation Familiarization: Learn submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Engagement in Meetings: Attend VDC and project planning meetings to align objectives and timelines.
