Job summary

Larry H. Miller Construction is seeking a Project Intern for Summer 2027 in Sandy, Utah. The intern will assist project managers with plans, schedules, budgets, and coordination across field teams, suppliers, and internal staff.

The internship runs May 10, 2027 to August 6, 2027, at $22.00 per hour and part-time hours (25–29 per week). Currently enrolled in a university/college, preferably in construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field, is required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in construction management, engineering, business administration, or related field.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and best practices.
• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate meetings, site visits, and conference calls with stakeholders.
• Track project progress and update project schedules accordingly.
• Serve as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members.
• Assist with obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
• Help with the coordination of subcontractor activities, including scheduling, payments, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to project sites, ensuring timely arrival and proper inventory management.
• Assist in conducting site inspections and audits to identify and address quality and safety concerns.
• Maintain records of safety meetings, inspections, and incident reports.
• Manage project-related correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and written communications.
• Provide administrative support to project managers.
• Take site photos and save site documents to Dropbox.
