Job summary

Pike Industries, Inc., a CRH Company, is offering a Construction/Road Intern position for the summer. You will rotate through different construction and paving teams, gaining hands-on experience from seasoned professionals, and contribute to paving installation, project management, and quality control.

You will collaborate with crews on real projects, learn safety practices, and develop skills in asphalt installation and equipment operation as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a college degree program.
• Able to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments, both independently and in a team setting.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including nights or weekends.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Paving Installation: Work with paving crews to understand asphalt installation from layout to completion, assess safety hazards, estimate costs, and understand customer service principles.
• Construction Operations: Collaborate with construction teams to learn planning and execution, manage equipment, participate in safety, and learn billing and bidding processes.
• Support Tasks: Assist with manual labor, hand tools, directing traffic at sites, and potentially operating equipment.
