Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Summer 2027 Construction Intern in Memphis to assist on an active project site. You will gain foundational knowledge in construction management, project safety, and coordination while supporting the project team on daily activities.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a related college program, with strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn through hands-on experience, meetings, and orientation programs at Turner’s site offices.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college/university program and pursuing a degree related to Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or similar, with at least 1 year of completed education.
• Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Demonstrate interpersonal and team collaboration abilities, leadership, or volunteer involvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist on active construction projects under supervision and learn project management basics.
• Support project team with meeting coordination, document control, and progress reporting.
• Follow site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Relate academic knowledge to on-site activities and develop understanding of contracts and RFIs.
• Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Attend training, meetings, and orientation and contribute to site operations as assigned.
