Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking motivated communications interns to gain hands-on experience in internal and external communications, content creation, social media, and project coordination.

The role collaborates with our communications team to craft messages and support campaigns, enhancing employee and stakeholder engagement. The program runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, with on-site work five days a week at Peoria, IL or Irving, TX.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of measurement techniques to improve quality and quantity of work.
• Understand decision‑making processes and tools; analyze situations to make informed judgments.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse groups in a constructive manner.
• Apply communication theories to influence audiences across channels.
• Know multimedia publishing tech to produce publications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and advise on suitable communication approaches.
• Track and analyze metrics to measure campaign effectiveness.
• Plan and create content for internal and external channels with consistent messaging.
• Develop and distribute materials (written, presentations, websites) to deliver key messages.
