Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking motivated communications interns to gain hands-on experience in internal and external communications, content creation, social media and project coordination. You will work closely with the communications team to craft messages, support campaigns and engage employees and stakeholders.

The internship runs May 17, 2027 to August 6, 2027 and offers exposure to corporate communications strategies across the organization.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time four-year college or university or graduate school in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or Marketing at time of application
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA (no rounding)
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and advise on suitable communication approaches
• Track and analyze metrics to measure campaign effectiveness
• Assist in planning and creating content for internal and external channels ensuring consistent messaging and branding across channels
• Develop and distribute communications materials such as written communications, presentations and websites
