Caterpillar Inc. seeks motivated communications interns to gain hands-on experience in internal and external communications, content creation, social media and project coordination.

You’ll craft messages, support campaigns and help engage employees and stakeholders while working closely with our communications team. The internship runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027 across Peoria, IL and Irving, TX, with onsite work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time, four-year college or university or graduate school in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or Marketing.
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (no rounding).
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and advise on the suitability of communication approaches.
• Track and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications campaigns and tactics.
• Assist in planning and creation of content for internal and external channels, ensuring messaging and branding consistency.
• Develop and distribute communications materials such as written pieces, presentations and websites.
