Job summary

AIG Summer Intern - Claims Department is a 9-week in-person program in Atlanta designed to give students hands-on experience in claims, analytics, and operations. Interns work with leaders on dynamic projects, attend masterclasses, and networking events, with mentoring and potential progression to Analyst roles after the internship.

The program runs June 7 through August 6, 2027, requiring availability for that period and interns to be in the office at least four days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree to be received no later than June 2028 (unofficial transcript required upon application).
• Available for the complete Summer Internship Program from June 7 through August 6, 2027. In-person, four days per week.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims while collaborating with underwriters, actuaries, legal, HR, and operations teams.
• Analyze claims and operational data to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance customer experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key business stakeholders to support business objectives and project execution.
• Monitor claims activity, respond to customer inquiries, and help ensure accurate payments, appropriate reserving, and effective cost management.
• Contribute to operational excellence by promoting consistency and claims best practices across the organization.
• Gain exposure to a variety of Claims disciplines, including Claims Adjusting & Examining, Claims Administration & Analytics, Fraud & Recovery, Claims Account Relationship Management, and Claims Operations.
