Job summary

Silverado Contractors, Inc. offers an Intern Program for Civil Engineering and Construction Management students. Interns gain real-world experience by working on a project team with professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Duties include attending meetings, assisting PMs with day-to-day activities, reviewing drawings, RFIs, and coordinating with safety, environmental and estimating teams. The program runs full-time during the summer for 6–10 weeks.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction Management or a similar program at an accredited college or university.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work in a team.
• Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings and assist PMs with day-to-day activities and deliverables.
• Assist with reviewing project drawings, RFIs and contract changes.
• Support field activities and project scheduling to align with plans and specs.
• Coordinate with safety, environmental and estimating teams as needed.
