Summary

The Summer Camp Swim Instructor is responsible for leading coaching efforts during the Charlotte Country Club summer camp swim program, creating a fun and inclusive environment for campers aged 4 to 12 years. The camp typically registers 20-50 swimmers weekly. This seasonal position involves pre-season preparation and daily coaching duties, focusing on safety, skill development, and team building. The usual schedule is Monday-Thursday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, subject to change based on club needs.

Essential Functions

• Build meaningful relationships with coaches, counselors, staff, and campers.
• Enforce team and pool rules ensuring safety.
• Perform lifesaving and first aid procedures when necessary.
• Maintain records of accidents and incidents.
• Conduct swim workouts, instruct swimmers, and improve their techniques.
• Provide feedback to enhance swimming skills and stroke mastery.
• Maintain discipline and encourage participation positively.
• Conduct yourself professionally and courteously.
• Keep the swimming area safe, clean, and organized.
• Support camp swim activities and perform other duties as assigned.
