Pay Rate: $12.00/hr

The Swim Instructor is responsible for ensuring safety in and around the pool area and providing high-quality swimming instruction following YMCA Aquatic Program guidelines. The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate students to achieve their swimming goals. Effective communication and adherence to water safety rules are essential.

1. Ensure the safety of all participants.
2. Follow YMCA national guidelines for all swim lessons.
3. Evaluate students' performance, provide feedback, and complete attendance, progress, and accident reports. Ensure all swimming aids and equipment are in good condition.
4. Prepare and follow lesson plans for each session.
5. Maintain and store teaching equipment properly.
6. Assist lifeguards with emergency situations in the aquatics area.
