Job summary

YMCA Camp Ocoee is seeking a dedicated Program Coordinator for the 2027 summer season. This full-time/seasonal role will oversee the daily camp program, supervise activity staff, and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for campers from May 24 to July 31, with mandatory training during the first two weeks.

You will schedule activities for campers, tailor plans by age and interest, lead evening and special events, and manage staff rosters. First aid/CPR certification training is provided upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred.
• Experience in resident camp required.
• Experience supervising staff and making schedules highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license required (F4 Classification needed).
• Proven experience working with children.
• Familiarity with camping and various outdoor activities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Good understanding of risk management and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and plan all aspects of the daily camp program.
• Oversee all activity staff.
• Schedule camper and cabin groups daily activities.
• Create tailored schedules by age group and interests.
• Plan all evening and special activities.
• Demonstrate leadership in camp activities and events.
• Schedule duty roster and staff time off.
• Perform first aid or provide care for injuries as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
