Camp Timber-lee is seeking a Worship Team member for a live-in summer ministry. You will lead and support worship in chapel and camp services, collaborating with the band to craft Christ-centered sets and rehearsing arrangements, transitions, and dynamics.

The role emphasizes energetic, meaningful worship beyond mere performance. Ideal candidates are professing Christians with primary instrument or vocal skills, the ability to follow a worship leader, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Understanding of worship dynamics: soft playing, build-ups, transitions, energy control.

• Willingness to be fully engaged in a live-in summer camp environment.

At Camp Timber-lee, your playing becomes part of something bigger. As a member of the Worship Team, you'll help shape chapel services that point campers toward Christ, using your musical gifts to build energy, connection, and meaning all summer long.

We're hiring across the full band: vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keys, and drums and percussion.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support worship in chapel and camp services on your instrument

• Prepare and rehearse sets, including arrangements, transitions, and dynamics
• Play with sensitivity to the room, knowing when to build and when to pull back
• Care for instruments, gear, and stage setup

• Assist with general camp programming as needed

Important Role Details

• Ability to learn new material quickly and follow a worship leader in the moment

• Willingness to be fully engaged in a live-in summer camp environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand or play for extended periods during rehearsals and services
• Able to lift and move gear up to 50 pounds during setup and teardown

Summer Schedule

• Staff Training: June 1 - June 12
• Camp Sessions: June 13 - August 7
