Job summary

Camp Timber-lee is seeking a Worship Team member for the summer to lead and contribute to chapel services with your primary instrument or voice. You will collaborate with the band to craft cohesive, Christ-centered sets and rehearse arrangements, transitions, and dynamics for energetic worship.

This live-in role offers housing and meals, a faith-centered community, and hands-on ministry experience to grow musically and spiritually while building relationships with campers and modeling leadership.

Qualifications

• Proficiency on your primary instrument or voice in a live band setting.
• Ability to stay in sync with a click track, metronome, or rhythm section.
• Strong faith-based leadership and a heart for ministry.
• Willingness to live on-site and participate in ministry activities.

At Camp Timber-lee, your playing becomes part of something bigger. As a member of the Worship Team, you'll help shape chapel services that point campers toward Christ, using your musical gifts to build energy, connection, and meaning all summer long.

We're hiring across the full band: vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keys, and drums and percussion.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support worship in chapel and camp services on your instrument
• Collaborate with the full band to shape cohesive, Christ-centered worship sets
• Prepare and rehearse sets, including arrangements, transitions, and dynamics
• Play with sensitivity to the room, knowing when to build and when to pull back
• Care for instruments, gear, and stage setup

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• A professing Christian with a personal faith
• Proficiency on your primary instrument or voice in a live band setting
• Ability to lock in with a click track, metronome, or live rhythm section
• Understanding of worship dynamics, including soft playing, build-ups, transitions, and energy control
• Ability to learn new material quickly and follow a worship leader in the moment
• Team-first mindset with strong communication and humility
• Comfortable praying with campers and engaging in gospel-centered conversations
• Willingness to be fully engaged in a live-in summer camp environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand or play for extended periods during rehearsals and services
• Able to lift and move gear up to 50 pounds during setup and teardown

Summer Schedule

• Staff Training: June 1 – June 12
• Camp Sessions: June 13 – August 7
