Job summary

Pine Tree Camps at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, seeks energetic lifeguards to teach swimming and ensure safety for campers aged 5–14 during an 9-week program (May 24, 2027 – July 30, 2027).

Responsibilities include preventing emergencies by pool surveillance, enforcing rules, addressing issues professionally, completing incident reports, and maintaining a clean, safe pool environment while providing positive supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be a certified lifeguard or willing to obtain certification.
• Experience working with children.
• Must be available for all 9 weeks of camp plus a week of camp training; 5/24/27 – 7/30/27.
• Work from Monday to Friday 30 – 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Prevent emergencies by scanning the pool in a continuous and consistent manner.
• Enforce pool rules.
• Handle issues as they arise in a professional manner.
• Teach swimming to campers ages 5 – 14.
• Recognize emergencies or potential incidents and address them immediately.
• Perform assists or rescues as needed.
• Complete incident reports in a timely and effective manner.
• Always ensure a clean and safe pool environment.
