Job summary

Pine Tree Camps at Lynn University seeks dedicated camp staff to supervise pool areas for 9 weeks, ensuring safety and adherence to rules. Responsibilities include teaching swimming to ages 5–14, reporting incidents, and maintaining a clean pool environment.

Applicants must be 16+, willing to obtain lifeguard certification, and have experience with children; 30–40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with training week in late May–early July.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be a certified lifeguard or willing to obtain certification.
• Experience working with children.
• Available for all 9 weeks of camp plus a week of camp training; 5/24/27 – 7/30/27.
• Work from Monday to Friday 30 – 40 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Prevent emergencies by scanning the pool in a continuous and consistent manner.
• Enforce pool rules.
• Handle issues as they arise in a professional manner.
• Teach swimming to campers ages 5 – 14.
• Recognize emergencies or potential incidents and address them immediately.
• Perform assists or rescues as needed.
• Complete incident reports in a timely and effective manner.
• Always ensure a clean and safe pool environment.
