Job summary

Camp Fire Columbia's Camp Namanu is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee the on-site kitchen for summer camp, weekends, rentals, and Outdoor School. You will supervise seasonal staff, plan menus within budget, order food, manage inventory, and ensure food safety standards are met.

You will work with camp leadership to implement dietary accommodations and coordinate with renters and partners to deliver nutritious meals for youth and staff while maintaining a clean, compliant kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a commercial kitchen, camp kitchen or restaurant.
• Experience creating menus and managing inventory and budget.
• Requires Oregon Food Handler Card, ServSafe certification, and First Aid & CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Camp Namanu kitchen and food services, including supervision of kitchen staff, menu implementation and dietary restriction management.
• Ensure health and safety practices are followed; maintain inventory and negotiate with renters/partners for events.
• Schedule and train staff, monitor food preparation and portion sizes, and ensure meals meet dietary needs for campers and staff.
