Job summary

The Salvation Army Northwoods Camp in Finlayson, MN, is seeking a Summer Camp Healthcare Manager to oversee health and safety for campers and staff. The role requires on-site residence for the summer and offers a weekly stipend of $825–$850 for a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities include providing medical care, managing health resources, keeping medical records, and supervising First Aid. The position runs from June to July 2027 with on-site room and board provided.

Qualifications

• CPR, AED and Standard First Aid certifications are required.
• Healthcare degree (RN/paramedic/CNA/PCA) preferred.
• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Must have personal relationship with Jesus Christ and participate in religious activities.
• Must pass background checks.
• Flexible interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter with good attention to detail and initiative.
• Works with integrity and diligence.

Responsibilities

• Provide healthcare to campers and staff, consulting with licensed medical professionals as needed.
• Support and participate in camp programs and activities, including spiritual components.
• Organize, maintain, and utilize health resources and manage inventories.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for campers and staff.
• Oversee First Aid procedures and ensure supplies are available.
• Conduct health screenings for all campers on arrival.
• Provide staff training on health, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Supervise sanitation to ensure participant health and safety.
• Develop positive rapport with campers and colleagues, modeling respectful interaction.
