Job summary

Highlands Swim and Tennis Club in McLean, VA seeks a Camp Director to lead planning and daily operations of the summer camp program. The role requires energetic leadership and clear communication to ensure campers have a memorable, enriching experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in camp leadership or youth programming.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Full-time availability during summer (June–August, 10 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the summer camp program, including scheduling, staffing, safety and daily activities.
• Train and supervise camp counselors and support staff.
• Develop engaging programs that balance sports, arts and recreational play.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and club policies.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and the Club’s management team.
• Manage the camp budget and supplies.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and enthusiastic camp culture.
