Position Summary/Class Description:

Sports Camp participants spend their day playing a variety of sports indoors and outdoors, engaging in arts and crafts, and enjoying endless fun in the sun. The camp staff guide them throughout the day, ensuring their safety. Activities are designed to encourage movement, personal growth, and confidence building. Campers will learn basic to advanced sport-specific skills and participate in various summer camp activities. All hired staff must pass a background check. We are seeking energetic and responsible camp counselors to help children (ages 3-15 years) develop confidence. Ideal applicants will:

• Relate well to and understand children.
• Respond effectively to questions or concerns from children, aiding in their personal growth.
• Be energetic, fun-loving, and capable of creating lasting memories while overseeing camper safety.
• Possess CPR and First Aid certifications (training provided if needed).
• Have knowledge or experience in sports such as badminton, baseball/tee ball/softball, basketball, flag football, golf, kickball, lacrosse, pickleball, soccer, tennis, track & field, volleyball, or similar.

When team members excel, they may have opportunities to continue working during the school year and advance into leadership roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

For College Students: Consider a career in art, teaching, sports management, child development, psychology, tourism, hospitality, or management. Summer camp provides practical experience to enhance your resume. If your field isn't listed, contact us to discuss opportunities.

Camp Counselors:

• Supervise small groups of youth aged 3-15 (depending on location), ensuring safety at all times.
• Engage with campers throughout your shift.
• Plan, prepare, and execute engaging summer camp activities.
• Monitor pool safety during swim sessions (specific to certain camp locations).
• Use positive strategies to redirect camper behavior.
• Follow personnel policies for camp staff.

Minimum Required Education/Experience:

• Minimum 18 years old.
• Experience working with children.
• Ability to set a positive example.
• Ability to plan and lead activities.
• Receptive to feedback, proactive, creative, organized, flexible, and team-oriented.
