Math ETC Learning Center is a dynamic, student-centered childcare and enrichment program located in Bowie, MD. We serve children from Kindergarten through middle school in a fun, structured, and inclusive environment focused on academic readiness, mindfulness, and creative enrichment.

Summary

As a Camp Counselor at Math ETC, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and engaging environment for children during our camp programs. This position is essential in fostering a love for learning and helping students develop essential life skills while having fun.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Plan and implement educational and recreational activities that promote learning and personal growth.
• Provide guidance and support to campers, helping them navigate challenges and develop social skills.
• Communicate effectively with parents and admin team regarding camper progress and any concerns.
• Assist in managing behavior and resolving conflicts among campers in a constructive manner.
• Collaborate with other counselors to create a positive camp atmosphere.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in an educational or camp setting is required.
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively and create a positive learning environment.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to create and lead projects and hands-on activities
• Team player, dependable, flexible, and organized
