Job summary

This internship is at SRS Distribution, Inc. and is designed to provide hands-on experience within one of our branch locations.

You will work alongside branch leadership, operations, sales, and customer service teams to learn how a distribution center operates, from receiving to delivery. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, or Management, and are available full-time for 10–12 weeks between May and August.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Management, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the day-to-day operations of a multi-million-dollar distribution center.
• Gain exposure to receiving, warehouse operations, dispatch, delivery, customer service, order entry, and outside sales.
• Work closely with the Branch Manager and branch team to understand how the business operates.
• Shadow experienced sales professionals and learn how we build and maintain customer relationships.
• Take ownership of a strategic summer project and present your work to company leadership.
• Participate in a 3-day visit to our corporate headquarters as part of the internship experience.
• Build practical skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, time management, and business operations.
• Participate in hands-on branch activities, including occasional handling of building materials.
