Job summary

Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia seeks staff to deliver high-quality advancement and enrichment experiences for Justice National Scout Camp guests this summer. You will lead program areas, train staff, and support merit badge sessions while modeling Scout Oath and Law.

Housing is provided, along with a Summit Staff Uniform and a demanding, rewarding schedule (50+ hours). You will gain leadership, teamwork, and teaching experience in a premier outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+.
• Experience coaching and leading teams preferred.
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member; background screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, operation, and takedown of camp program areas.
• Train and manage the area director team to deliver safe, relevant, and engaging programs.
• Support merit badge sessions and program areas during operations.
• Coach and counsel staff to build an effective team.
• Assist with merit badge and program progress input in the online advancement system.
