Job summary

Summit Bechtel Reserve seeks a Camp Director-level leader for the Justice National Scout Camp. You will lead and coach the staff to provide safe, engaging experiences for Scouts and guests in a summer camp setting.

Responsibilities include staff training, program oversight, feedback collection, and a comprehensive end-of-season report. Housing is provided; you will wear the Summit Staff Uniform and work 55+ hours during the season.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21+.
• Previous Scouting and/or outdoor recreation experience.
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead, coach, and counsel the Scout Camp staff to ensure safe and fun experiences.
• Train staff in Summit policies, leadership and instructional skills.
• Communicate with guests and staff to ensure quality experiences and adjust based on feedback.
• Provide mid/end season evaluations to department staff.
• Write end-of-season report with inventories and recommendations.
• Participate in camp-wide programs and activities.
• Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions.
