ICF is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our AI research and development team for a 10-week, full-time internship in Reston, VA. You will collaborate with AI researchers, ML engineers, data scientists to design and implement ML models, including large language models, and gain hands-on mentorship.

This entry-level program covers the full AI lifecycle from data acquisition to deployment, with hybrid work, exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn, and opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• By start date, minimum 30 completed college-level credit hours in CS/IT.
• US citizen or eligible to work in the US; work must be performed in the US.
• Strong foundation in core CS concepts and interest in AI/ML.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the AI lifecycle and end-to-end product development.
• Develop and train ML models, including deep learning and NLP/vision tasks.
• Analyze large datasets and perform feature engineering.
• Write clean, production-ready Python/Java/C++ code and participate in reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
