Job summary

Intuit is seeking an AI Scientist Intern for a 12-week Summer internship across two cohorts. You will work alongside AI Scientists, Researchers and ML Engineers to build models that improve customer experiences in Intuit products, with cross-functional collaboration and mentorship.

The role emphasizes hands-on project work, exposure to senior leadership, and opportunities to explore generative AI, NLP, and time-series forecasting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program or final-year student with graduation after internship.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States for duration.
• Ability to work in a hybrid Intuit office location.
• Familiarity with core ML techniques and math foundations.
• Experience importing data and preparing ML-ready datasets.
• Strong Python programming and SQL skills.
• Interest in generative AI and LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and explore large real-world datasets for modeling.
• Build, train, and evaluate ML/deep learning models using classification, regression, and clustering.
• Engineer features from raw data and refine model inputs.
• Design and run experiments, perform stats analysis, and report results.
• Stay updated on AI/ML research, including generative AI and LLMs.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Analysts, Software Engineers, and PMs.
• Develop proofs-of-concept for AI-driven features.
• Document research, architectures, code, and experiments clearly.
