ICF is offering an AI Engineer Intern position in Reston, VA for a 10-week, full-time hybrid internship starting in June and ending in August. The role provides $32 per hour with no housing or relocation support.

You will work with experienced researchers and engineers to design, develop, and deploy ML models, including NLP and Generative AI, while gaining hands-on mentorship and exposure to end-to-end AI product development across data acquisition, model training, deployment, and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 credit hours of graduate-level courses in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Machine Learning, AI Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• US citizenship/residency and work authorization in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to the AI lifecycle from data acquisition to deployment and evaluation for scalable AI solutions.
• Assist in ML lifecycle phases including data collection, preprocessing, model development, training, and evaluation.
• Develop and train ML models including deep learning and large-scale models for NLP, CV, or generative AI.
• Analyze large datasets through exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to improve model performance.
• Write production-ready code in Python, C++, and other languages; participate in design reviews and testing.
• Research and prototype cutting-edge AI techniques, staying current with latest trends.
• Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver high-impact AI solutions.
