Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science or related technical field, or a Bachelor's/Master's with relevant experience and graduation after the internship.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for duration of the internship.
• Hybrid work environment at an Intuit office location determined by team and role.
• Familiarity with core machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, optimization) and their mathematical foundations.
• Ability to import data from multiple sources and make it ML-ready.
• Strong Python programming skills and SQL proficiency.
• Curiosity about generative AI and large language models, and interest in applying AI tools to accelerate your own work.
• Excellent communication skills and a learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and explore large real-world datasets to prepare them for modeling.
• Build, train, and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models.
• Engineer and refine features from raw data to improve model performance.
• Design and run experiments (A/B tests) and analyze results.
• Explore current AI/ML research, including generative AI and LLMs, to inform solutions.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Analysts, Software Engineers, and PMs to translate insights into product impact.
• Develop proofs-of-concept for innovative AI-driven features.
• Document research, model architectures, code, and experiments for technical and non-technical audiences.
