Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA, offers a Summer 2027 Intern – Artificial Intelligence (IT) program within Corporate Information Technology. You will tackle real-world AI challenges, work with data scientists, and gain experience through structured assignments during a 12-week internship.

The program includes hybrid work with remote capability and a housing stipend for students nationwide. Compensation includes hands-on Python, OCI, and Azure tasks and exposure to enterprise-scale data

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
Minimum GPA 3.0 or equivalent; demonstrated internship/work/research participation.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and engage with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with developers/data scientists to develop, test, and deploy AI models.
Work on data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training tasks.
Perform exploratory data analysis of business and manufacturing data to uncover insights.
Learn to assess technology to select the best AI solution for each use case.
Research AI/ML advancements and provide insights to team and leadership.
Document models, experiments, and code clearly.
Collaborate with supervisors, business units, and resource leaders.
