Job summary

AgVantage FS, a member of the GROWMARK System, is seeking a GROWMARK Agronomy Intern for Summer 2027 in Iowa. You will support agronomy operations, learn crop production practices, and assist with field scouting and trials while gaining mentorship and professional development.

You will travel to multiple locations, participate in a capstone project, and contribute to customer service initiatives. This unpaid or stipend-supported internship emphasizes safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification with good academic standing.
• Interest in agronomy, crop production, and agriculture.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support agronomy operations and assist agronomy professionals for farmer-member customers.
• Learn crop production practices, crop protection, plant nutrition, and agronomic recommendations.
• Conduct field scouting, monitor crop health, and collect data.
• Assist with agronomy trials, plot work, and field demonstrations.
• Use precision ag tools for scouting and data collection.
• Support product inventory, ordering, receiving, and operations.
• Participate in customer visits, grower events, and education opportunities.
• Travel to FS locations to build relationships with employees and partners.
• Follow safety, stewardship, and regulatory requirements.
• Complete special projects and assist other activities as needed.
