Job summary

AgVantage FS, part of the GROWMARK System, seeks an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern in Garner, IA for Spring/Summer 2027. You will train and assist with general agronomy functions to learn the FS and GROWMARK system and prepare for a future career.

You'll gain hands-on experience in field operations, equipment maintenance, crop scouting, and inventory control while building professional relationships and traveling as needed. Eligible students in college will apply.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification at time internship begins.
• Prefer candidates entering first or second year.
• CDL and commercial applicator license preferred with endorsements; driving record must be satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits locations and builds professional relationships with customers.
• Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment for scouting.
• Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gains experience with ordering, receiving and inventory control.
