Job summary

AgVantage FS in Mechanicsville, IA offers the GROWMARK Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern position for Spring/Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in agronomy operations and work with management to learn the FS and GROWMARK system. Travel, CDL and certifications may be required.

You will participate in field research, crop scouting, and project work to improve efficiencies and learn practical skills for a future career in agriculture.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification from a college, technical college or university.
• Preferred candidates are in first or second year of college at internship start.
• CDL and commercial applicator license with endorsements are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits locations and builds professional relationships.
• Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment for scouting.
• Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gains experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
